Managing Director
Steven Smith
I don’t ever say “outside of work I’m….“; the work I do is just one extension of who I am and what I am passionate about, which is my family, creativity, generosity and delighting people. What I love about leading Ineo Life is having the frequent opportunity to collaborate with the team, conceive of new ideas that bring together a need, and a quality solution for the benefit of others – it’s really satisfying. As Managing Director I have involvement in all aspects of what we do, yet the most important part of my role is to work with our team and clients to explore ways in which we can take the exceptional skills of our people to those who will benefit from it the most. Over three decades of work I have seen a steady decline of investment into people, and witnessed first hand the shift from developing a career, to just having a job; from being secure at work, to feeling vulnerable about the future. So it begs the question, if this is a sector in decline, why choose to lead a business that exists to help people to develop and accomplish more? It’s because I believe, regardless of a surging trend towards technology, that our future is human

The thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is being part of something important, and something that creates a sense of community. There is an old African proverb that says ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. I believe it takes a village to stay human and continue to thrive. I want everything we do as an organisation to have a positive impact, not just to the clients and customers we are directly involved with but how that ripples out to their wider connections. I think this is one of the biggest challenges that organisations will face in the future. Day to day in the business I head up our mentoring and coaching programme, making sure that our customers are experiencing the best possible service as well as making sure we are fully compliant and our processes and procedures are ticking over. Being a creative person and a problem solver I am always thinking of new ways that we could support more people and organisations out in the market place, so I quite often get involved in our sales, marketing and business development. I love the world of business and everything that goes with it. I am incredibly proud of what our company has achieved to date, and feel humbled every day to see the positive impact our team is having not only on organisational and individual performance but people’s lives.

Head of Operations
Martin Fricker
I have dedicated a significant part of my life to sharing principles that enable people to live fulfilling and successful lives. I want them to increase their reach and capacity and become the biggest and best possible version of themselves.
I know and believe that we all have untapped potential within us and that this deserves to be shared with the world. My passion and inspiration come across in the way I work; for those people who want to change, I make it my personal responsibility to work with them to find a new path where they feel both supported and grounded.
Growing up in Bristol was, let’s just say interesting, most definitely tough, and often truly brilliant. This rich life experience combined with many years of working in a peak performance coaching arena is what I bring to the table when I work with clients, colleagues and my two sons, both of whom have emerging professional sports careers. I am a genuine and caring emissary for today’s challenging world of business and life. I am enthused by an opportunity to get you reconnecting with your health, your talent, your heart and your spirit. This work is exciting and dynamic and a great match for my passion. I am an incredibly proud person and deeply humbled and inspired by the people I meet.

Head of Learning Development
Louise Smith
My belief is that in developing others we need to make sure that we are prepared to go the extra mile in ensuring our own credentials and sense of self are bang up to date! Otherwise, what gives us the right to coach, mentor and inspire change in others?
As a mother, wife, coach and business director, I promote honesty, authenticity and clarity in the way I operate. I do this because everyone deserves to meet the real me, be told the truth and know exactly where they stand. Maybe this is my old fashioned upbringing shining through, but it seems to have worked for me in my life and my work so far. My vision is that those organisations, teams and individuals who choose to work with us, feel deeply inspired by the simple things that we do well.
I have been working in the field of performance, behaviour, and leadership development for many years and my style is kind, resourceful and dedicated. When meeting people I am often energised by the challenge of helping them to step forward, and find a new direction or alternative solution. I believe that a learning and coaching opportunity is a privilege and a gift and that in today’s economic climate where resources are often scarce, it is important that we grab the opportunity for some personal development whenever the moment presents itself.

I feel very lucky to be doing what I do and privileged to work so closely with genuinely good people. My key responsibility is designing and keeping our digital systems up to speed and ensuring our customers’ experience is the best it can be.
I grew up on the family farm in the west of Ireland, where hard work wasn’t optional, but when work was done, fun was always there to be had. My upbringing imbued me with a respect for others – purely as people, regardless of background or position, but more the appreciation of a person’s character, talent and potential for good – which was paramount. A simple saying that I still hold true today is to ‘treat others as you wish to be treated yourself’.
I believe everyone has unique strengths which too often remain undiscovered or underutilised through either circumstance, a lack of confidence, or just poor experience. When we meet good people who help others to believe in themselves, they are encouraged to bring their strengths to the fore, whatever they may be. Everyone has something positive to give and collectively, what we do through Ineo, is for me, very rewarding work.
